Nicole exudes a contemplative calm, like she’s considering you as much as you’re considering her. This probably has much to do with her being a very talented photographer herself. A calm confidence is definitely it’s own brand of beauty.
From a photographer’s perspective I like this shot because rather than hide the lighting set-up it’s actually made a feature of the composition. No secrets or tricks here: just bulbs and beauty.

I want to start having a theme to the photos I post each week. There’s no real reason for this other than to make sure I’m not posting too much of the same stuff all the time. I also feel like a collection of work can often speak on a level a single image cannot, much like a gallery show. I’m sure I’ll still have weeks where the theme is “whatever I want” and I’m also sure that my backlog of photos will ensure “Disney theme park” pops up as a theme with great frequency, but otherwise we’ll see how it goes.
This week’s theme is a slam dunk as far as I’m concerned:
Beautiful women.
I feel like I don’t need to say much and I can just let the adorable Adriana and beautiful Laura do all the talking. Although tweaked here and there, the final image is very close to straight out of the camera: the more I tried to mess with it, the worse it looked. No need to hide this behind fancy processing or psuedo-retro filters. Like I said, these ladies don’t need my help. I’ve been lucky enough to know both of these women for quite a few years. It’s always a good time when we’re together. Even when It was a million degrees in the station while we were shooting, they still held it together like pros.
Aside form killing it in front of the camera with Laura, Adriana also does her own photography and design.
